Welcome to 2nd Grade!

 Dear Parents,

I hope you're having a wonderful summer.  I look forward to meeting all the children and having a fantastic school year.  

 

Below, you will find some helpful information for 2nd Grade.  

• All 2nd grade parents should sign up for my “Remind Class" app. If you have not signed up, please do so immediately.  I use this app to communicate with parents, so it is important that you sign up.

• We will have a “2nd grade early school supply drop-off” on Monday, August 31st, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. For your convenience, all supplies may be brought to the 2nd grade classroom during this time. If you cannot make this date and time, please send your child’s supplies with them on the first day of school. Please do NOT leave any supplies in the school foyer.  Feel free to bring your child’s “All About Me Bag” and Book Report to the early drop-off as well.

• Our uniform schedule is as follows:

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays:  Regular Uniform

  • Wednesdays and Thursdays: Gym Uniform 

• Students should come to school with a water bottle and a snack daily. Please do not send in any food that contains tree nuts or peanuts.  

  

• I will provide a blue "Homework Folder" that your child will come home with daily. Please make sure you check and return the folder daily. It contains all important information and homework.  Homework will begin on Tuesday, September 8th.  

• Please check my blog daily.  You can find it on the school’s website.  All homework assignments and class announcements will be posted on my blog.  https://sts.stthereseroxbury.org/in-the-school

• “Back to School Night” is on Thursday, September 10th at 7:00 p.m.

 Dear Parents,

As we begin summer vacation, I want to thank you for sharing your wonderful children with me this year. It has been a true joy and privilege to teach them, watch them grow, and celebrate their accomplishments. Each child has brought something special to our classroom, and I will cherish the memories we made together.

I wish you and your family a summer filled with happiness, relaxation, and wonderful adventures. Thank you for your support throughout the year.

Our class play is tomorrow!  Doors will open at 12:50 pm.  If you have a child in another grade at STS, please remember to send a note or email if you plan on taking that child/children home after the play.

Friday is a noon dismissal with aftercare.  Monday, 6/15, and Tuesday, 6/16, are noon dismissals with no aftercare.
